Explored layout variations while ensuring print-ready imagery, consistent visual quality, and clear product hierarchy across pages.
Adapting the layouts for the Spanish edition required additional attention to consistency and spacing, as translated content often expands beyond the original English text. Spanish tends to use longer words and phrases, which impacts line breaks, paragraph length, and overall layout balance. To maintain visual consistency across both versions, I carefully adjusted typography, spacing, and image relationships while preserving the integrity of the original design system. This process required flexibility, precision, and a strong understanding of how content and layout interact across languages.
A project that brought together multiple layouts, categories, and languages into a unified catalog experience, requiring close collaboration and clear communication across teams.
In addition to the 2023 edition, I contributed to the 2022 Amazon Holiday Toy Book, working on a similarly large-scale catalog. The 2022 edition followed a more structured, grid-based system, requiring precision in alignment, spacing, and consistency across densely populated pages. Working across both editions strengthened my ability to adapt to different design approaches while maintaining accuracy and efficiency at scale.
