Iskra Type Specimen and Poster

Iskra is a warm and playful sans serif typeface designed by Tom Grace. It was published by TypeTogether. And it was released in 2011. Through this project, I want to show the journey of Iskra as a spark of light, energetic and warm. I chose a color palette that was vibrant and frisky because I wanted to convey how fun and exciting it is Iskra's voyage. The composition is asymmetric to resemble the asymmetry Iskra's top-heavy asymmetry. The cat symbolizes curiosity and playfulness. After all, cats are indeed curious animals.

I designed the Poster below to follow attached to the type specimen. As a consequence, they are the same size (16x20 inches). The dark background in the poster makes the poster more whimsical. And here the letters of the typeface looks like sparks of light in a dark sky.
